Finally done(?)

It took me quite long time to paint a sunset scene. I've tried several times before but I only ruined canvases. Or should say I didn't want to see those canvases again. I still don't think this is the right sunset scene I wanted to paint but I could finish one, anyway. I was going to paint "purple" sunset not "orange" one. But every time I used purple, it didn't look like sunset but dirty rainy day. Well, I'll try "purple sunset" some day again.

Painting again...

I've been in Japan for 2 and half months this summer. Yes,I missed whole nice summer of Squamish. Now it's snowing here and a good day for painting.

I'm having a hard time to paint sunset scene. Nothing seems to be working yet. I'll try and try and try.....I can make it someday,I hope.

Painting water

It's always very difficult for me to paint water. It has no colour but we see it so many different colours more than we can imagine.

The colour of the ocean and rivers even lakes in sunny summer day around Squamish,it shows us beautiful light lime green.

My newest painting is one of them and the combination of blue sky,of course. This is very typical "Squamish " for me.

One of the 40 paintings

I've just finished my new painting "Bloom". This one will go to the Garden wall at Hilltop House with other 39 paintings which painted by the other members of Visuals. Participating this project,only allowed to paint flowers. I'm so looking forward to seeing them altogether.

I used to love painting flowers. But after I moved to Squamish, I was so impressed the nature here and only painting landscape. What a change! I'd never be interested in painting landscape before.

Adding something special...

I added a few things in my newest painting. A car, a shadow of the building and 4 road-banners. I participated a road-banner contest last year but unfortunately I wasn't the winner but the second place. So my banner design would never be on the street. Now I made it here! This is "my world" and I can make anything I want,right?

The fourth painting is done.

I've painted four oil paintings in this year so far. I used to need at least 3 to 4 months to finish one painting. But it's getting much faster. I think the more I paint,the faster I finish. And hopefully I can paint BETTER!

I've been struggled to finish one of my new paintings. How hard I tried to make it better, it didn't go anywhere.

One of my good friends,Wanda suggested me some ideas to improve my painting.

I didn't make a major change but added somethings here and there. I hope it looks at least "BETTER" than before.

Hooray! I finally have my website!

I'm almost giving up making one for myself because I've never good at using computer. So making a website was quite a challenge for me.
