Born and raised in Japan, moved to Squamish in late 2004.
Ever since I was a little child, I always love to draw or paint anything I find beautiful or interesting. I also like to view any kinds of art very much.
I first started oil paintings when I was 12, I joined the fine Art Club at school. With the support of the Art club, the continual painting of pictures became one of my purposes for life. Although I never studied painting under the guidance of professionals, I have always retained a strong passion for artistic painting.
Since the age of 18, my friends and I formed a painting group, called "ITOHAN" . We have had art shows at local galleries in Osaka Japan, once a year for the next 25 years.
Then I had to stop painting for several reasons of my life change. But I never lost the passion of painting and was willing to start painting again.
After 12 years of non painting, I was finally able to start painting again in Squamish. The beautiful natural surroundings inspired me to paint landscapes, which I had never painted before.
Here I am painting almost every day now, that makes me very happy and alive.
