Back to Japan again.

Only 8 days after my husband and I came back from Japan, I had to fly to Japan again. Because my mother had an accident and hospitalized. So I need to be with my mother whole day and take care of her. There is no time to paint here. I wish I could go back to Squamish and start painting sooner.

Back from Japan.

It's been very busy and tired three weeks. And the most horrible earthquake and Tsunami attacked Japan 2 days after my husband and I arrived. If we arrived there on March 11th, we were one of 8500 people who trapped at Narita Airport whole that night without the electricity. I'm so glad we haven't been involved any incident during our stay in Japan. Anything could happen in our life. So, just do what you want to do right now. Don't wait until next day or time. Time never waits for you.......

A little rest...

I've painted 4 paintings since last November. That means one painting for a month. It's getting really fast. "Fast" doesn't mean "better" but I like it.

I used to need at least 3 months for finishing one painting. Well, I sometimes paint two together now, so that's another reason to finish them faster.

Now I have a little rest of painting and getting ready for my trip to Japan.

Painting & painting

I've been painting almost every day for a month. And the result is two paintings have done. I'll go back to Japan in March for 3 weeks with my husband. That means no painting days in March. I'm still working on one more painting. Hopefully I can finish painting it before I go.

Finally done(?)

It took me quite long time to paint a sunset scene. I've tried several times before but I only ruined canvases. Or should say I didn't want to see those canvases again. I still don't think this is the right sunset scene I wanted to paint but I could finish one, anyway. I was going to paint "purple" sunset not "orange" one. But every time I used purple, it didn't look like sunset but dirty rainy day. Well, I'll try "purple sunset" some day again.

Painting again...

I've been in Japan for 2 and half months this summer. Yes,I missed whole nice summer of Squamish. Now it's snowing here and a good day for painting.

I'm having a hard time to paint sunset scene. Nothing seems to be working yet. I'll try and try and try.....I can make it someday,I hope.

Painting water

It's always very difficult for me to paint water. It has no colour but we see it so many different colours more than we can imagine.

The colour of the ocean and rivers even lakes in sunny summer day around Squamish,it shows us beautiful light lime green.

My newest painting is one of them and the combination of blue sky,of course. This is very typical "Squamish " for me.
