SOLD

One of my paintings was sold this morning. This is the second one in Canada. Thank you very much "someone" who bought my painting.

The first one was sold to the service Canada office in Squamish a couple years ago. I was so excited about it. I keep painting by now, then it happened again.

Yes, it's a big news of my life when my painting is sold. But I'm enjoying painting itself, so selling paintings is not only my purpose to paint. I love the moment just thinking about what to do next on my painting. That is one of the happiest moment of my life. Thanks to my husband's support, I'm a happy person to be able to have such a great moment almost every day.

I also enjoying walking almost every day. I walk over an hour including a little running between when I feel like it. After painting ,walking and a little running, I always feel great. Especially such a gorgeous day like today.

The largest painting...

The first and the largest painting I've ever done in Canada has just finished today. It's 24"X30".

I got this canvas for over 2 years but I couldn't figure out what to paint. Then finally I started painting last early October, a little stream n a middle and many trees around.

Then all the sudden I lost passion, I left it until the end of November. Since then, I painted almost every day. It turned out no stream but a stump covered with moss and a lot of trees around.

This is one of the scenes I saw when my good friend, Margreet, took me for walk with her and her dog in a trail close her home. If she didn't take me, I've never seen this beautiful scene. Thanks to Margreet, I still have a lot of scenes I want to paint.

Now I'm working on the next show in Whistler. But it has a theme "Mother of Wind". I still can't figure out what I can paint... time is ticking..........

I'm back.

It's been a busy year and soon another new year coming. The time just flies too fast.
I'd stayed in Japan over 6 months so far, means had to go back and forth three times, then finally get back to my "normal" days.
Getting up 8:30...have a cup of coffee then start painting until noon...have lunch and go for a walk for a little over an hour...watch Japanese news on TV and cook supper ....take a bath ...watch TV having a glass of wine .....going to bed at 11:00. What a lazy person I am! But I love these lazy days!

Three paintings DONE!

After 5 none painting months, I really enjoyed painting almost everyday. Just I didn't feel like painting on a big canvas, so I started two small ones and now I finished a little larger one. I've also started painting much larger one,24"X30", too. This is the largest one I've ever tried for more than over 40 years. When I was a high school student, I painted a couple of huge ( three times larger than this) paintings. But after that I only painted small ones. So it's a little challenge for me. Hope it'll work out OK.

A pair of small canvases

Quite a while ago, I bought a pair of small canvases. But I couldn't think of anything to paint. Then, after the stressful 4 months, I finally started painting and wanted to use only my favorite vivid colours. Ended up these " Flowers in the night". I think I'll be able to finish another landscape painting soon, too.

After 4 months...

I finally came back from Japan after taking care of my mother for 4 months. She is 80 years old and had been the healthiest lady I've ever known. But this time, it was a different story.
She got a broken hipbone and had a surgery. The surgery itself went excellent and she can walk without any pain and can do almost everything by herself. It seems to me nothing you can expect more.
But her memories are all mixed up and can't recognize day and time. Today, tomorrow or yesterday means nothing for her. Just she can live now.
Well, everybody has to be "getting old", no one can escape from it. But I wish I can live little longer without confusing mind.

Back to Japan again.

Only 8 days after my husband and I came back from Japan, I had to fly to Japan again. Because my mother had an accident and hospitalized. So I need to be with my mother whole day and take care of her. There is no time to paint here. I wish I could go back to Squamish and start painting sooner.
